Attack on Odessa
- On March 15, russia attacked residential area in Odessa;
- They hit the area once again in an hour, when the rescuers came to help people.
- Thus, there are injured among emergency service workers;
- A paramedic and an employee of the State Emergency Service were killed.
- In total, the attack killed 16 people;
- 73 people were injured;
- Private houses, a service station, gas pipelines, and vehicles were damaged.
Attack on Kyiv
March 21, 2024
Kyiv came under heavy russian attack (ballistic and cruise missiles). That was the first massive attack on the capital in 44 days.
Consequences of falling missile fragments
- High-rise buildings were damaged, windows were blown out by the blast wave, fire broke out in one of the apartments.
- Six schools and kindergartens were damaged in Kyiv;
- The Air Force confirmed the destruction of of 31 missiles.

Attack on Ukrainian energy
- On the night of March 22, russia executed a significant missile and aerial assault, targeting vital energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
- russians launched 60 Shaheds and 90 missiles, having caused power outages.
- Kryvyi Rih’s critical infrastructure was targeted, causing emergency shutdowns.
- Zaporizhzhia: 12 rocket attacks. The Dniprovska HPP dam was hit.
- Power generation at the station is currently suspended.
- Oil products have leaked into the waters of the Dnipro River, provoking global ecoside.

Blockade of the Polish border
March, 2024
- Due to the survey, losses of companies since the beginning of strikes on the Polish-Ukrainian border amounted to at least 24.8 million euros. In terms of one company, this is almost EUR 700,000 losses.
- 67% of surveyed top managers of member companies of the European Business Association (EBA) reported that their business felt the consequences of strikes at Polish-Ukrainian checkpoints.
- 98% of surveyed companies have reported an increase in prices for product transportation services.
- 57% of surveyed companies lost orders due to the border blockade.

Export
- In 2023, Ukrainian exports fell by 18.5% to $36 billion. This is almost half of the year before the full-scale invasion.
- As of March 15, export of agricultural products by sea in the first half of March amounted to 2.9 million tons, which is 9% lower than in the same period of February the year before (3.2 million tons).
- The rate of export of agricultural products by rail reduced to the lowest level since the beginning of the full-scale war – the average daily delivery of goods across the border was 299 cars per day.
- Since the start of the grain initiative in August 2022, as of mid-March, almost 25 million tons of agricultural products have been exported via the Danube.
Planting season
Twenty oblasts have started planting spring crops.
As of March 21, 214.5 K ha of grain and leguminous crops were planted in Ukraine (3.8%):
- Wheat – 29 K ha (11.8%);
- Barley – 117.3 K ha (14.3%);
- Peas – 53.1 K ha (33.2%);
- Oats – 10.6 K ha (6.5%).
Leading oblasts: Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Ternopil, Vinnytsia.
