  • Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia, killing 10 people, including a 1-year-old child, and injuring 41 others.
  • Russia struck Zaporizhzhia five times using guided aerial bombs.
  • The attack damaged an apartment building, houses, and a cancer hospital.

5.98 mln ha of winter crops were planted.

  • wheat — 4.3 mln ha (96%);
  • barley — 543.6K ha (85%);
  • rye — 67.9K ha (96%);
  • rapeseed — 1.07 K ha (96%).

EXPORT

  • Since the beginning of the 2024/25 MY, grain exports from Ukraine have exceeded 13 mln tons (56% more than last year).
  • More than half of all shipments – wheat, 7.7 mln tons of which were sent to foreign markets.
  • According to the Memorandum, the export of wheat in 2024/25 MY is limited to 16.2 mln tons.
  • This amount is planned to be reviewed in January 2025.

 

 

Grain From Ukraine Initiative (November 6)

  • As part of the Grain From Ukraine initiative, 14.5 K tons of corn were shipped to Malawi.
  • Another 5,000 tons will be delivered in the coming weeks.
  • Since the beginning of the Grain From Ukraine humanitarian program in the fall of 2022, more than 200 K tons of agricultural products have been sent to 10 countries in Africa and Asia.

MIDWEST AGRICULTURAL EXPEDITION (USA)

In 12 days, we covered 3,750 miles and visited 8 states, studying corn yields ranging from 160 to 245 bushels/ acre even without irrigation. We saw a variety of farming systems and different tillage approaches, including ridge till and strip-till.
