War News

The situation on the front remained highly tense, with active fighting on several key directions, primarily the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk sectors.
Over the past week, russian forces continued intensive attacks using aviation, artillery, and unmanned systems.
In total, approximately 1,600 drones and over 1,700 guided aerial bombs were recorded.
The most massive attack occurred on May 2, when about 268 drones and missiles were launched.

Attack on Ukraine

April 24, 2026

On April 24, 2026, russia carried out a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine, launching 2 ballistic missiles and 107 strike drones.
The main target of the strike was Odesa, where significant damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.
Private houses and vehicles were destroyed or damaged, and casualties were reported.

April 30, 2026

On April 30, 2026, russia launched a series of drone attacks on Odesa, Dnipro, and Chernihiv during the night and morning hours.
The strikes resulted in fires and destruction across several areas.
1 person was killed and 20 people were injured.

Dnipro under Сontinuous Attacks

April 22–23, 2026: russia carried out a drone attack on Dnipro, killing 3 civilians and injuring around 10 people, with damage to a residential apartment building and fires in the city.
April 23–24, 2026: Dnipro remained under repeated strikes as part of a wider wave of russian drone attacks across Ukraine, resulting in additional casualties and damage to residential infrastructure.
April 24–25, 2026: a massive overnight assault targeted Dnipro with hundreds of drones and missiles, killing 8 people and injuring dozens, including children, while causing widespread destruction and fires.
April 25, 2026: the city continued to be under prolonged attack for over 20 hours, with repeated strikes on residential areas and a growing number of casualties reported, reaching up to 8 killed and nearly 50 injured.
May 3, 2026: russian forces struck a residential district in Dnipro during a daytime attack, damaging a dormitory building and nearby infrastructure. At least 1 person was killed and more than 10 were injured.

Export

May 1, 2026

In April 2026, Ukrainian agricultural exports totaled 5.7 mln tons, which is 2.8% higher compared to the previous month.

Export structure in April 2026:

Grains: 4.0 mln tons (corn – 67%, wheat – 32%, barley – 1%), which is 10% higher compared to the previous month;
Oilseeds: 196.3 K tons (soybeans – 82%, rapeseed – 14%, sunflower – 1%), which is 42% lower compared to the previous month;
Vegetable oils: 503.8 K tons (sunflower oil – 88%, soybean oil – 9%, rapeseed oil – 7%), which is 1% lower compared to the previous month;
Oilseed meals: 501.8 K tons (sunflower meal – 73%, soybean meal – 27%), which is 8% lower compared to the previous month;
Other agricultural products: 431.1 K tons, which is 9% lower compared to the previous month.

In the first quarter of 2026, total agricultural exports reached 15.5 mln tons.

Grain Rail Shipments

Since the beginning of April, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 2.87 mln tons of grain cargo.
Compared to March, the average daily loading slightly decreased by 1.3% to 87.5 K tons

Planting

As of April 28, 2026, Ukrainian farmers planted 1,698.4 K ha of spring grains and legumes, which is 28% of the forecast.
