Situation Around Kostiantynivka

June, 2026

  • The russian forces are trying to reach a chokepoint in the northern part of Kostiantynivka in order to cut off the entire central and southern parts from normal supply.
  •  Ukrainian group of military analysts, capturing Kostiantynivka would open the way for russia to advance towards the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.

Large Overnight Attack

June 15, 2026

  • At night (June 14–15, 2026), russia launched a massive assault across Ukraine, which strikes Kyiv, Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities.
  • It killed at least 11 people across Ukraine, knocked out electricity to 140,000 households and ignited a major fire at the Dormition Cathedral within the UNESCO-listed Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery complex.
  • russia launched 70 missiles and 611 drones.

FOUR Rescuers Killed by Strike

June 15, 2026

  • Four rescuers were killed in Kharkiv in a follow-up Russian strike on a civilian business overnight on June 15.
  • The rescuers served in Kharkiv’s 6th State Fire and Rescue Unit:

Dmytro Boiko, squad commander and chief master sergeant in the civil protection service;

Danylo Tishchenko, firefighter-rescuer and sergeant in the civil protection service;

Serhii Makovetskyi, firefighter-rescuer and sergeant in the civil protection service;

Vadym Zinchenko, driver and master sergeant in the civil protection service.

Attack on Vasylkivka

May 13-14, 2026

  • russians dropped 12 guided bombs on Vasylkivka community in Dnipropetrovsk region.
  • The occupiers are constantly attacking Ukrainian defenders along the front lines with KAB bombs and striking settlements near the front.
  • An apartment building was partially destroyed.
  • A market was on fire, and eight stores and 10 market stalls were damaged.
  • The occupiers also attacked the communities of Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Marganets, and Myrivka, damaging private homes and farm buildings.

Export

June 19, 2026

In the 2025/26 MY, Ukraine exported nearly 36.0 mln tons of grains and legumes, which is 4.1 mln tons, or 10%, lower compared to the same period last season.

Export structure:

  • Wheat: 13.4 mln tons, down 2.1 mln tons, or 14%, compared to last season;
  • Corn: 20.5 mln tons, down 5% year-on-year;
  • Barley: around 1.5 mln tons, which is 35% lower compared to the same period last season;
  • Rye: 0.2 K tons, down from 10.8 K tons last season;
  • Flour: 60.5 K tons, which is 12% lower compared to last year.

Grain Rail Shipments

  • Ukraine increased grain rail shipments through all border crossings in June.
  • As of June 16, the average daily volume of grain and meal shipments reached 183 railcars per day.
  • This is 19 railcars per day, or 12%, higher compared to the end of May.

Ukrainian farmers are completing spring sowing. 5.88 mln ha of spring grain and legume crops have been planted.

 

  • Corn — 4.37 mln ha
  • Spring wheat — 186.6 K ha
  • Spring barley — 713.6 K ha
  • Peas — 259.7 K ha
  • Oats — 137.5 K ha
  • Buckwheat — 55.1 K ha
  • Millet — 38.5 K ha

A total of 7 mln ha were sown with industrial crops.

  • Sunflowers – 4.86 mln ha
  • Soybeans – 1.99 mln ha
  • Sugar beets – 190 K ha.
