War Updates

  • Ukrainian forces recently advanced near Pokrovsk.
  • russian forces recently advanced near Novopavlivka, Kurkakhove, and Velyka Novosilka.
  • russian General Valery Gerasimov claimed that russian forces pushed all Ukrainian forces from Kursk Oblast.
  • New direction of activity has emerged. Toretsk and Pokrovsk directions became the “hottest” areas of the front.

Kyiv Under Attack

April 24, 2025

  • Fifty-four apartment buildings in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district have been damaged as a result of the massive Russian missile attack on the capital on the night of 23-24 April.
  • The strike killed 12 people and injured 87 others.

 

Civilian Deaths
April , 2025

  • russians killed 13,000 Ukrainian civilians during the full-scale war.
  • Most people were killed by wide-area explosive weapons – missiles, shells, and drones.
  • Since 2014, more than 16,000 people have been killed.

 

Planting Season 2025

As of April 25, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown 2 mln ha of spring cereals and legumes.

  • Corn — 705 K ha
  • Barley — 702.1 K ha
  • Spring wheat — 199.8 K ha
  • Peas — 201.8 K ha
  • Oats — 154.2 K ha

 

Technical crops have been planted on an area of 1,763.6 K ha:

  • Sunflower — 1,236.8 K ha
  • Sugar beet — 228.5 K ha
  • Soybeans — 187.6 K ha

Thus, a total of 3.76 mln ha were sown with spring crops throughout Ukraine.

 

Sea Corridor

  • 659 ship calls were made during January–March 2025 to the three ports of the Odesa region involved in the operation of the sea corridor.
  • In January, 204 vessels entered the ports; in February — 213; in March — 242.
  • During the reported period, the ports of Greater Odesa, as well as the energy and industrial infrastructure of the Odesa region near the ports, were attacked at least 35 times by missiles and various types of UAVs.
  • As a result, 3 vessels were damaged, people were killed, and port infrastructure was damaged.

As of April 25: 34.7 mln tons of grain and leguminous crops exported from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY, which is 5.5 mln tons, or 14%, less than in the same period of the previous season:

  • Wheat – 13.7 mln tons (11% less than last year).
  • Barley – 2.26 mln tons, which is 4% more than last season.
  • Rye – 10.8 K tons, which is 11 times more than last season (1 K tons).
  • Corn 18.25 mln tons, which is 18% less than the volume of shipments as of the same date last season.
  • Flour – 58 K tons, which is 32% less compared to last year’s figure.
