Attack on Kyiv

Attack on Chornobyl NPP

February 14, 2025

  • A drone hit the protective outer shell of Ukraine’s Chornobyl nuclear plant early Friday, punching a hole in the structure and starting a fire.
  • Radiation levels at the shuttered plant in the Kyiv region have not increased.

Export

February, 2025

  • As of February 14, the export volume of grains and legomes from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY reached 27.3 mln tons.
  • This is 1 mln tons, or 4%, more than in the same period last season.
  • Wheat exports this season amounted to about 11.5 mln tons, exceeding last year’s volume by 13%.
  • Thus, 71% of the wheat volume agreed upon in the grain memorandum (16.2 mln tons) has been exported.
  • Barley exports amounted to 2.1 mln tons, which is 40% more than during the same period last season.
  • Rye shipments reached 10.8 K tons, 11 times higher than last season.
  • Corn exports amounted to 13.3 mln tons, 8% less than on the same date last season.
  • Flour exports amounted to 45.5 K tons, which is 42% less than last year.

Ukrainian Sea Corridor

  • Over 100 mln tons of cargo have been transported through the Ukrainian Sea corridor during 18 months of operation.

  • 65 mln tons of the total transported volume are agricultural products.
  • Mutual trade in agricultural products between Ukraine and the European Union reached a record volume in 2024 – almost $17 billion.
  • Last year, Ukraine imported agricultural products from the EU worth about $4 billion, almost 9% more than a year earlier.
