  • Morning, December 31: russian troops struck Ukrainian cities, Kyiv and Shostka (Sumy oblast).
  • In Shostka, some infrastructure facilities were destroyed. 12 multi-story residential buildings, 2 educational institutions, and other social facilities were damaged.
  • In Kyiv, 3 private buildings and 2 cars were damaged.

In 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 392 critical targets:

  • 236 bases
  • 76 fuel infrastructure facilities
  • 71 ammunition depots (according to OSINT).
  • Almost 2,000 missiles were launched by russia at Ukraine in 2024, 56% were shot down.
  • 10,949 attack drones were launched by russians at Ukraine in November.
  • 68% were shot down, 26% were neutralized by electronic warfare.

Export

  • The volume of exports of grain and leguminous crops from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY amounted to 21.9 mln tons.
  • This is 3.5 mln tons or 19% more than in the same period last season.
  • About 9.8 mln tons of wheat were shipped this season, which is 29% more than last year’s volumes.
  • 60% of the total wheat volume agreed in the grain memorandum (16.2 mln tons) was exported.
  • Barley exports amounted to 1.97 mln tons, which is 1.8 times more than the figure for the same period last season.
  • 10.8 K tons of rye were shipped, which is 11 times more than last season.
  • 9.8 mln tons of corn were exported, which is 2% more than shipments on the same date last season.
  • Flour exports amounted to 37.7 K tons, which is 36% less than last year’s figure.

Grain from Ukraine

  • Ukraine sent 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria as part of Grain from Ukraine Initiative.
  • In the coming weeks, wheat flour will be distributed to 33,200 families or 167,000 people.
  • Each package weighs 15 kilograms and can feed a family of five for a month.
  • Syria is closed for russian export.
  • Therefore, the russians are trying to redirect the sale of stolen Ukrainian grain to Egypt.
