  • In October, 183 civilians in Ukraine were killed by russians.
  • At least 903 people were injured.
  • Among the victims, 9 children died and 49 were injured.


Civilian casualties due to the war in Ukraine

  • From the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine (February 24, 2022), to the end of October 2024, 12,162 civilians were killed and 26,919 were injured.
  • Human Rights Watch (HRW) claims that at least 10,000 civilians have been killed in Mariupol alone.

  • From October 1 to November 5, russia attacked Ukraine with more than 2,200 attack drones.
  • russia increased drone strikes on Ukrainian cities by 44% after elections in the USA.

Russia used Oreshnik medium-range missile to attack Ukraine – November 21

  • They used this missile during the morning attack on Dnipro.
  • They used an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.
  • putin claims that russia used a non-nuclear hypersonic ballistic missile to strike the defence industry facility in Dnipro.

Massive missile attack

November 17

  • Ukraine was under a massive bombardment.
  • russians launched strike drones, cruise missiles, and air-launched ballistic missiles at Ukraine
  • They were targeting energy infrastructure.
  • In Mykolaiv, a drone attack killed 2 people and injured 6, including 2 children.
  • In the Lviv oblast, a woman was killed, and 2 more people were injured.
  • In the Dnipropetrovsk oblast, 2 railway workers were killed, and 3 injured as a railway depot was shelled.

Harvesting

 

  • 72,9 tons of new crop (grains and oilseeds) were threshed in Ukraine (19,2 mln ha):
  • A total of 53.4 mln tons of grain and almost 19.5 mln tons of oilseeds were harvested.
  • 98% of the projected area was threshed.

Planting

 

  • Ukrainian farmers have planted over 6 mln ha of winter crops.
  • In particular, winter grains were sown on almost 5 mln ha (96%), and winter rapeseed — over 1.08 mln ha.

Export

 

  • Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian ports have exported about 55 mln tons of agricultural products.
  • The most exported agricultural products:

-sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oil — 5.3 mln tons ($4.4 billion);

-corn — 25.5mln tons ($4.2 billion);

-wheat and wheat-rye blends — 19.0 mln tons ($3.4 billion);

-rapeseed or colza seeds — 3.5 mln tons ($1.7 billion);

-soybeans — 3.5mln tons ($1.1 billion ).

Grain From Ukraine Initiative

  • In 10 months of this year, more agricultural products were exported than in all of 2023 – more than 110 mln tons.
  • Ukraine’s food exports feed 400 mln people in 100 countries of the world.
