Hospital was a target

 

  • russians hit hospital in Sumy.
  • Then they struck again as the building was being evacuated.
  • At the time of the attacks, 86 patients and 38 staff members were in the hospital.
  • Nine people were killed and 10 wounded.

Attacks on Ukraine

 

  • Kramatorsk (September 25): 2 people killed and 47 injured, including 3 children.
  • Kryvyi Rih (September 27): 4 people killed, 6 were injured.
  • russians also struck a bakery in Kharkiv: 1 person died, 8 were injured.
  • Kharkiv (September 22): 21 people injured, including old and children.

Harvesting

September, 2024

 

  • 50.4 mln tons of crops were threshed on an area of 14.2 mln ha.
  • In total, 34.3 mln tons of grain, 13.6 mln tons of oilseeds and 2.5 mln tons of sugar beet were harvested.

Planting 

September, 2024

 

Farmers planted 1,806.7 K ha of winter crops.

In total, 944.5 K ha have already been sown.

  • winter wheat – 878.8 K ha;
  • winter barley – 45 K ha;
  • winter rye – 20.7 K ha;
  • winter rapeseed – 862.2 K ha.

Export

September 27, 2024

 

  • The volume of exports of grain and leguminous crops in 2024/25 MY amounted to 10.05 mln tons, which is 59% more than in the same period last season.
  • 5.8 mln tons of wheat were exported, which is 86% more than last year’s volume. Thus, 35.8% of wheat from the total amount agreed in the grain memorandum (16.2 mln tons) was exported.
  • Barley exports amounted to 1.25 mln tons (twice as much as last year).
  • 7.5 K tons of rye were exported (11 times more than last season).
  • 2.7 mln tons of corn were exported, which is 5% more than last season.
  • Export of flour amounted to 18.3 K tons (48% less than last year).

 

 

  • By rail most grain is exported to Poland and Romania.
  • The average daily volume of the train cars with grain to Poland and Romania in September exceeds 50 units.
  • The average daily volume of grain unloading in the ports of Greater Odessa is currently 992 train cars. During the week, the indicator increased by 28 units per day.
