Attack on Kyiv

November 14, 2025

  • russia launched a heavy drone and missile attack on Ukraine early on Friday.
  • russian forces used 430 drones and 18 missiles.
  • It was one of the biggest attacks on the capital so far.
  • 7 people were killed and at least 29 were injured.
  • 9 of the injured victims — including one pregnant woman — have been hospitalized.
  • Two children, ages 7 and 10, are among the injured.

 

 

Massive Attack on Ukraine

  • A russian missile hit an apartment building in the western city of Ternopil.
  • 34 people were killed, including three children. 94 people were injured, including 18 children.
  • The fate of 7 people is unknown.

 

Demining of Ukrainian Farmland

  • From January to November 2025, demining specialists cleared 34.3 K ha of agricultural land from explosive hazards.
  • In total, more than 43 K ha have been surveyed since the beginning of the year.

Export

As of November 20, the export volume of grains and legumes from Ukraine in the 2025/26 MY reached 11.15 mln tons, which is 6 mln tons (-35%) less than during the same period last season.

  • Wheat exports totaled 6.9 mln tons, down 1.7 mln tons (-20%) year-over-year.
  • Barley shipments exceeded 1.15 mln tons, a 36% decline compared to the same date last season.
  • Rye exports amounted to 0.2 K tons, dozens of times less than last year’s 10.8 K tons.
  • Corn exports reached 2.9 mln tons, half of last season’s volume.
  • Flour exports totaled 24.9 K tons, 16% less year-over-year.

Railway Export

  • More than 1.54 mln tons of grain cargo were transported by rail for export during the first 18 days of November.
  • Since the beginning of November, total rail shipments reached 1.76 mln tons, 30% higher than the same period in October, but 8.1% below November 2024.
  • Grain shipments in export routes totaled 1.54 mln tons – 40% more than the corresponding period in October, yet 8.4% lower than last November.
  • Traditionally, 93% of grain is transported toward seaports, while western border crossings account for only 7%.
  • Over 18 days of November, 1.56 mln tons of grain were loaded across Ukraine’s railway network – 27% more than in October, but 5.2% less than last year.

Planting

Ukrainian farmers have planted 6,389.9 K ha of winter crops – 97.5% of the forecasted area.

Planted areas include:

  • Winter wheat – 4,659.7 K ha
  • Winter barley – 582.2 K ha
  • Winter rye – 66.1 K ha

Winter rapeseed planting is nearly complete across all regions.

Farmers have already planted 1,081.9 K ha, reaching 96% of the projected area.

Harvesting

Ukrainian farmers have harvested 50,928.8 K tons of grain crops from 10,228.7 K ha – 88% of the planned area.

  • Wheat – 22,960.2 K tons from 5,051.6 K ha
  • Barley – 5,419.1 K tons from 1,360.9 K ha
  • Peas – 672.5 K tons from 275.1 K ha
  • Corn – 20,836.0 K tons from 3,118.4 K ha (71% of planted area)
  • Other grains and legumes – 896.5 K tons from 327.6 K ha

Sugar beets – 9,963.1 K tons harvested from 186.6 K ha (94% of planted area).


Total oilseed harvest has reached 17.05 mln tons:

  • Sunflower – 9,010 K tons (4.79 mln ha)
  • Soybeans – 4,722.9 K tons (1.99 mln ha)
  • Rapeseed – 3,316.7 K tons (1.26 mln ha)

Overall harvest completion:

  • Sunflower – 92%
  • Soybeans – 96%
  • Rapeseed -100%
