Pokrovsk
October 27

  • About 200 russian personnel have penetrated inside the front-line city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region.
  • It is one of the most difficult areas of the front.
  • russia has suffered heavy losses in its assault on Pokrovsk. The General Staff reported 1,756 Russian personnel losses and 75 pieces of destroyed equipment in the past 10 days alone.

Attacks on Kyiv

  • russia launched a drone attack on Kyiv overnight October 26.
  • A nine-story residential building was struck in the Desnianskyi district of the city, damaging the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building.
  • At least three people were killed.
  • 32 people were injured, including seven children.

Attack on businesses
October 25

  • russian missile attacks on Kyiv over the weekend destroyed the warehouse of one of Ukraine’s largest pharmaceutical distributors and heavily damaged the production facility of a popular coffee chain.
  • Fortunately, there were no casualties.
  • The estimated losses exceeded $100 million.

Kindergarten is a target

  • russia attacked Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv on the 22nd of October, hitting a kindergarten with children in attendance.
  • At least one person was killed and six were wounded in the strike

 

Passenger minibus is a target

  • russian forces targeted a passenger minibus in the Sumy region, destroying the vehicle.
  • Five passengers and the driver were on board.
  • Five of the six people were injured, including one in critical condition and a minor.
  • The bus was completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

Agricultural news

Export
October 22, 2025

  • The volume of grain and legume exports from Ukraine in the 2025/26 MY totaled 8.3 mln tons.
  • This is almost 5 mln tons (38%) less than the same period last season.
  • Wheat exports reached 5.8 mln tons, 21% less than last year.
  • Barley exports amounted to over 1 mln tons, 39% less than last year.
  • Only 0.2 K tons of rye were exported, dozens of times less than the 10.6 K tons exported last season.
  • Corn exports totaled 1.3 K tons, three times less than last year.
  • Flour exports from Ukraine reached 19.5 K tons, 16% less than the previous season.

Grain from Ukraine

  • Since 2022, Ukraine has shipped over 300 K tons of agricultural products to countries in need under the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
  • Food supplies have been delivered to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
  • More than 20 million people were supported through the program.

Ukrainian farmers have planted 4,833.9 K ha of winter crops, which is 74% of the forecasted area.

  • Winter wheat – 3,443.6 K ha
  • Winter barley – 300.3 K ha
  • Winter rye – 60.0 K ha
  • Winter rapeseed has been planted on 1,030.0 K ha.

Harvesting
October 23, 2025

Ukrainian agricultural producers have threshed 37,559.5 K tons of grain crops from 8,400.3 K ha, completing 73% of the planned area.

  • Wheat – 22,796.0 K tons from 5,049.8 K ha
  • Barley – 5,366.6 K tons from 1,350.5 K ha
  • Peas – 662.3 K tons from 271.5 K ha
  • Corn – 7,713.1 K tons from 1,314.9 K ha (31% of planted area)
  • Other grains and pulses – 876.7 K tons from 317.6 K ha

11,156.7 K tons of oilseeds have been harvested, including:

  • Sunflower – 7,837.9 K tons from 4,235.7 K ha
  • Soybeans – 3,502.1 K tons from 1,515.1 K ha
  • Rapeseed – 3,318.8 K tons from 1,275.6 K ha

Overall, sunflower has been harvested from 82% of planted areas, soybeans – 70%, and rapeseed – fully completed.

The sugar beet harvest reached 5,642.7 K tons from 108.1 K ha, covering 55% of the planted area.
