Kyiv Under Attack
September 7, 2025

  • It was the most devastating attack since war began.
  • Enemy launched “record number” of drones—over 800—and 13 missiles.
  • The Council of Ministers building in Kyiv was targeted and caught fire.
  • At least 4 people were killed in the attacks, including a two-month-old baby and the child’s mother.
  • Other affected cities included Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Kremenchuk, and Odessa.

 

Russian Drones Attack Poland

  • On the night of September 10, 2025, around 20 russian drones violated Polish airspace.
  • The first large-scale drone attack on a NATO member state.
  • According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, at least 19 drones were recorded, three of which were shot down.
  • A residential building was damaged.
  • No casualties were reported.

Export

As of September 12

The volume of grain and legume exports from Ukraine in the 2025/26 MY amounted to almost 5.2 mln tons (40% less than in the previous season).

  • Wheat exports reached 3.55 mln tons (24% less than last year).
  • Barley exports totaled 692 K tons (41% less than on the same date last season).
  • No rye has been exported since the beginning of the season.
  • Corn exports amounted to 891 K tons (2.8 times less than last year).
  • Flour exports from Ukraine totaled 11.5 K tons (20% less than last year).

Statistics from last season

In the 2024/25 marketing year, the export of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 40.6 mln tons:

  • wheat — 15.7 mln tons;
  • barley — 2.3 mln tons;
  • rye — 10.8 K tons;
  • corn — 22 mln tons;
  • flour — 71.1 K tons.

Harvesting
Ukrainian agricultural producers harvested
29,150 K tons of grains from an area of 7,007.9 K ha. A total of 62% of the planted area has been threshed, including:

  • Wheat – 22,189.8 K tons from 5,008.2 K ha;
  • Barley – 5,290.5 K tons from 1,344.8 K ha;
  • Peas – 611.6 K tons from 265.7 K ha;
  • Corn – 192.2 K tons from 54.1 K ha;
  • Other grains and pulses – 801.1 K tons from 291.5 K ha.

 

  • Rapeseed harvest reached 3,246.5 K tons from 1,274.3 K ha (harvesting completed).
  • Soybeans – 354.3 K tons from 204.7 K ha.
  • Sunflowers – 885.3 K tons from 570.3 K ha.
  • Sugar beets – 155.1 K tons from 3.3 K ha.

Planting

Ukrainian farmers planted winter crops on 727.5 K ha.

In total, 42.2 K ha have been planted. Farmers in almost all regions are sowing winter rapeseed, which covers 685.3 K ha.

In particular:

  • Winter wheat – 39.9 K ha;
  • Winter barley – 1.1 K ha;
  • Winter rye – 1.2 K ha;
  • Winter rapeseed – 685.3 K ha.
