Battlefield updates

  • Ukrainian forces continued offensive operations near Bakhmut and in western Zaporizhia oblast.
  • Autumn and winter weather conditions will slow but not stop Ukrainian counteroffensive operations.
  • Heavy shelling of Ukrainian territories continues.

The total combat losses of russians (24.02.22 – 08.10.23):

  • personnel ‒ about 282280 (+580) persons

October, 2023
Attack on Kharkiv village – 1/6 of the village population died

  • Russian occupation forces attacked a cafe and a store in the village Groza (Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv oblast).
  • The shelling killed at least 51 people, including a six-year-old boy.
  • Every family has a coffin.

October 6, 2023
Missile attack on Kharkiv – 10-year-old boy Killed

  • Early on Friday, russia unleashed new air strikes on Ukraine (the city of Kharkiv).
  • Almost 100 buildings damaged.
  • Two people were killed and 30 others injured, including 11-month-old boy.

October, 2023 – Export

  • More than 48 mln tons of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine through Solidarity Lanes from May 2022 to August 2023.
  • The largest volume of products since the beginning of the year was exported in August — 4 mln tons.
  • Transit of agricultural products through Poland in 2023 decreased by three times compared to last year.
  • Romania will import Ukrainian grain — only licensed companies will be able to supply it.
  • Currently, 60% of all agricultural products are transported to (through) Romania.
  • Transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the territory of Romania exceeded 9.5 mln tons in the period from May 1 to September 26.

October, 2023 – Drone attack on Odessa oblast

  • The enemy targeted the port and border infrastructure of the Danube.
  • Granaries, administrative buildings and freight vehicles were damaged (9 trucks burned).

October 3, 2023-  Planting season

As of October 3, 2023

In Ukraine, farmers have already planted 2.992 mln hectares of winter crops.

Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine

Crops planted:

  • wheat – 1.743 mln ha;
  • barley – 109 K ha;
  • rye – 53.6 K ha;
  • winter rapeseed – 1.087 mln ha.

Harvesting – more than 60% of sunflowers threshed

Ukrainian farmers harvested 46.7 mln tons of grain and oil crops:

  • wheat: 22,211 K tons;
  • barley: 5,863 K tons;
  • peas: 396.8 K tons;
  • corn: 2,6 mln tons;
  • buckwheat: 173.8 K tons;
  • millet: 155,1 K tons;
  • other grain and leguminous crops: 923,1 K tons.
  • rapeseed: 4005 K tons;
